Wild Skies is a new RPG brought out by several Palladium alumni, I had the chance to talk to Brandon K. Aten about it at the Palladium open house.  The kickstarter is in its final days, so act now if you want in on it!

The Guides are here to talk and chat!

February 26th, 2018

Welcome, welcome.

We're on iTunes now, and I wanted to share that.  I never thought it'd happen, but here we are!

Check out the account here.

I never thought we'd get this far, but wow, our own Palladium Podcast!  With seventy odd episodes already produced.  Right now we're a bi-weekly podcast, so it may be a few weeks until our next update, but we're hoping to back to weekly soon, and put out more content!

Let's go for another seventy or more!

As for what commenters we may get, never be afraid to let us know what games you'd like for us to play, or ideas you want us to try.  We're all about exploring new genres.  You might notice we don't have any RIFTS games listed, well we tend to prefer other settings, but again, we're interested in what you want to hear us game!

Also, I know my voice is annoying, and that maybe I talk too much (yes I'm the one that sounds like a drunk hick), but I'm toning that down, trying to not be as disruptive, but I hope that at least a few of you find our antics charming and part of the overall festive atmosphere that is the Guides Podcast.

See you at the Open House and at GenCon!

Dead Reign - Hope

October 9th, 2016

dead_reign_rpg_2008

Of all the books to never open in a horror game,

we chose not to open the actual core book!

In the month of October, we play Dead Reign for a while.  In a land just after the apocalypse started, we don't know much about what we're facing, we don't know where to go, and we have no tools to do it.  For added investment, we've been given two things:  The inability to look at the book of Dead Reign, so we can't magically understand what we're fighting, and two: An EXP Bounty for everyone we manage to save in the NPC group.   Its a difficult game, full of the worst sorts of choices, where society has already collapsed and the living dead are almost impossible to kill.

Characters:
A former veterinarian student doomsayer, a fast as lightning truck driver, a Cajun that's unintelligible, and a Russian anarchist cook, with an apparent grudge against the US Military...
